Pull-Through vs. Back-In RV Sites: Which Is Right for You?

Pull-through or back-in? Which RV site is right for you? 🚐

If you've ever booked an RV campsite and wondered whether you should choose a pull-through or a back-in site, you're not alone. Both have their advantages, and the right choice depends on your RV, your travel style, and what you want out of your stay.

Here's what you need to know before choosing your next campsite.

🚐 Pull-Through Sites
Easier arrival and departure
No backing up
Convenient for larger rigs
Great for overnight travelers
Especially helpful for people who aren't comfortable backing a trailer

The Farm has 60 pull-through sites, giving RV travelers plenty of options when they want the convenience of pulling straight in and out.

🏕️ Back-In Sites
Often provide a different campsite layout
Can offer more privacy depending on the campground
Great option for people comfortable backing their RV
Don't assume back-in means "small"—site length varies

At The Farm, our back-in sites vary in length and layout, so don't assume you need a pull-through simply because you have a larger RV. Check the individual site length before booking to find the best fit.

📏 Don't Forget About Your Total RV Length

RV + truck = total length

Still not sure which site to choose?

That's one reason we're creating individual site-tour videos at The Farm. You can see the actual site before you book, check the site length, and get a better feel for the layout.

From 55-foot sites to sites stretching well beyond that, we're continuing to showcase individual sites so you can find one that works for your RV and your camping style.

There's no single “best” RV site. There's only the site that's best for you.

Whether you prefer the convenience of a pull-through or the layout of a back-in site, take a little time to consider your RV, your comfort level and how you plan to use your campsite.

And when you're ready, we'd love to have you at The Farm. 🌾
